Background History

-Came to US in 8th grade
-My Sophomore year was my first year after ESL
-Korean

Why’d you apply for two colleges dawg.

Are you considered international, you’d probably have a good chance of getting in then.

I want to major in computer science. I chose CAS over CoE because I liked “liberal” curriculum. Does it lower my chance? I asked some people, and they said it would not hurt my chance.

I am not an international applicant. I live in NY :]

I think your descision to apply into CAS, rather than CoE was VERY smart. CoE is much more competitive and you have a better chance of getting into CAS. Overall, as long as you explain your low grades freshman year, I think the AdCom would be understanding. Low reach-match, in my opinion. Good luck!
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1577930-yet-another-chance-post-check-out-maybe.html

Thanks for you chacne!

BUMP! :3

Yeah but are you a korean citizen or american citizen.

Lots of koreans here went to high school but are still korean citizens.

I am a Korean citizen. I think it is where you resides that matters.(correct me if i am wrong). So, I am still considered an “american” applicant.

Bump!

It is a low reach to match. Good luck! Please get me back.

Your scores seem a bit weak, but it seems to show an upward trend? As above posters have mentioned, explaining low freshman grades + applying ED help. Your essays should help too, best of luck!
