chance for cornell?

<p>I am applying to Cornell ED and want to know what my chances are. Here is a little about me: </p>

<p>GPA: 97 (unweighted), 101.5 (weighted)
SAT: 1890(superscore, I know it's terrible...)
SAT II: Bio (E): 750 U.S. History: 730
ACT: 27 but retaking Oct 22</p>

<p>APs: AP US History(5), AP Bio(4), AP Envi(3), AP Lang/Comp(3) </p>

<p>Currently taking: AP Gov, AP Lit, AP Spanish, AP Physics, Pre Calc H</p>

<p>Academic awards:

<p>Volunteering
*Help disabled horseback riders through a therapeutic riding program (2 hrs/wk)
*tutor (1 hr/wk)
*other volunteering at my camp (during the school yr) and at my school</p>

<p>Work Experience
Camp counselor and event organizer (40hrs/wk for 8wks)</p>

<p>GPA is great, extra curriculars are decent/average, but your test scores (sat/ACT) are below average for cornell. I say unlikely.</p>

<p>Your SAT is abhorrent and your AP scores indicate that you might not be ready for Cornell’s work-Envi and Lang are known as two of the easiest tests. I doubt that you’ll be accepted.</p>

<p>Unless ure SAT is at least 2000 or ACT 30, I would say u would be rejected.</p>

<p>I know a few who have gotten in with 1600’s. But that’s obviously the minority and they demonstrated fit. Plus they were a URM</p>

<p>Are you saying that URM’s have a better chance of getting into Cornell with lesser scores? Not trying to start an argument, i’m honestly curious. I had a friend who was accepted but she was perfect.</p>

<p>Yes, the standards are demonstrably lower for URMs</p>
