Chance for CS at UIUC

I'm a rising Senior who is about to apply to college. I'm looking CS at UIUC but am aware of the difficulty of getting into the program. So I'd like an assessment into my chances.

5.2 on a 5 point GPA scale (weighted).

Freshman: algebra II, English, Bio, all Honors, all As. Also, a regular intro to programming (HTML) and honors intro to Java, both As

Sophomore: A in Honors Chem and English, B in H Geometry. B then A in APUSH with 4 on exam.

Junior: straight Bs in AP English, Gov, Micro as well as in H. Pre calc and Physics. A then B in Spanish (regular) (a bit if an off year :p). Exam scores are 4 English, 4 Micro, 3 Gov.

Senior Year: AP Chem, Psych, Calc AB, English, as well as honors Spanish planned.

ACT: 31 with retake next month (hoping for at least a 32). 33,30,30,29 individual scores

SAT: 1960 with a 700 on the Math and 600 ish's with writing and reading.

SAT II: 600 Physics (not taking AP physics and taking that test was a mistake). 700 on the Math (the easier one). 760 US History. May not send these scores.

Extracurriculars: 4 Years Marching Band, 4 Years Math Team, various Religious Mission Trips, Musical Pit.

Also, ACT or SAT, which score is better for my purposes?

From looking at the profiles of friends and family, your chances aren’t looking too good. You may have a smaller chance, but keep in mind that you listed your weighted GPA. Your unweighted GPA will not be up to par with engineering standards. Getting a B in Honors geometry is definitely a downside. In addition, getting straight Bs in 3 classes is definitely going to hurt your chances in engineering. I do not want to discourage you from applying, but even if you did get your ACT scores up to engineering standards for CS, the unweighted GPA will definitely be below the range for engineering. Getting a B in physics and pre-calc is a big blow to you chances in engineering considering those are looked at more than the other subjects. Are you out-of-state or instate BTW?

I am just trying to give you an honest answer. The best answer obviously is that the admission committee knows best and no college confidential reply will provide a definitive answer.
