Are you korean by any chance? If so, DO NOT submit your korean SAT score when applying. It may actually decrease your chances of getting accepted. Other than that, everything seems fine. Just write a super sweet essay.

Why such low AP scores? Strange, especially 2 for a prospective chem major, not to mention 700 on SATII. Your scores in general look a bit iffy/erratic to me.

One problem with straight copying and pasting; there is no CAS at Datmouth . Just a work of caution, this could be a kiss of death if this were your actual application as Dartmouth might just grant your CAS wish and reject you so that you could attend school CAS.

I understand that english is not necessarily your first language, which could be the reason for the CR score. How long have you been in attending school in the U.S. ?

I agree with hmom, consider retaking to get at least in the 700’s on the CR.

I don’t think that an explanation about being sick will excuse a 2. If you were that sick, you should have exercised common sense and stayed home. Since your other science AP score is a 3, and your SAT II is a 700, it does not make a convincing case that your Chem score would have been a 5 had you not been sick. Better to simply not report it. To put it in perspective, the two kids I know who were successful Ivy applicants and took the Chem SAT II after honors chem got 760/770, and the one who took the AP exam got a 5. And neither one is intending to major in a science.

I agree that CR is your big problem at D, though.

well. it used to be. but not really anymore. i am interested in other ivies too.
But anyways. thanks for your opinions guys. I appreciate it. :)

Cornell and Penn appear to be better fits for you. Pay attention to the details of your application; little things like sybbie 719 points out will croak you at a place like Dartmouth. BTW, your Critical Reasoning score is poor by Dartmouth standards.
