Chance for Dartmouth/USC?

<p>Hi i'm from Los Angeles, i attend a pretty competitive high school.
First Gen, Asian
GPA: 3.80 UW 4.45 W
ACT: 33
Rank: can't remember but i know it's in the top 25 out of 650 + so top 5%.
SAT 2's: Bio E: 780 Math 2: 780 World History: 800 US history: 800 Literature: 750
APs: 7 AP's through Junior year, 4 or 5 on all of them, 4 of the 7 self studied.
ECs:
1. NHS (Historian)
2. CSF (peer tutoring)
3. Hospital vounteering over 200 hours as well as 40 hours at a daycare center
4. Local advisory committee (Vice President)<br>
5. Academic Decathlon (3 years)
6. Helped organize a event in school called jeans for teens where we collected jeans to send to inner city kids. </p>

<p>Awards:
1. Honor Roll (I know so cookie cutter.)
2. Award for local PTSA writing competition
3. NCTE award for outstanding writing.
4. AP Scholar with distinction.</p>

<p>I would say you have a very good chance at USC but I’m not familiar with Dartmouth…</p>

<p>in at USC…why not apply to UCLA or UCB? Dartmouth is a toss-up, but if your essays and recs dominate, your chances are solid.</p>

<p>For the class of 2012, 40% of the accepted who were ranked were either number 1 or 2 in their class. Given that you’re an ORM from an over represented state with average for Dartmouth scores, you’ll need a fabulous application and references to get in.</p>
