(And don't worry I do have safeties, several Canadian schools)

Bump, could someone please chance this?

I’m not sure why URMs with good test scores and ECs ask people to chance them…

^^^ Because there are never any guarantees lol, please chance.

Honestly, I’m probably about to tell you something you already know: You’re right, there are no guarantees. However, you’re a URM with great test scores. You definitely have a shot at getting into Duke ED. Being from Canada also truly helps and I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in.

Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1021592-freaking-out-just-applied-ea-uchicago-could-someone-please-gauge-my-chances.html</a></p>

^^^Being international does not help…

I’m surprised to see that my chances are apparently this good.

NCBoy can you weigh in?

Internationals are at a disadvantage because of the limited spots available to them. Think about it like this: there are thousands of international applicants, who apply to such schools. Of all these internationals, only around 15% of the total admitted students are international. I’m not going to bore you, but just keep in mind that students from many, many countries apply to these prestigious schools.

Anyways, a URM with those stats and ECs shouldn’t have ANY problem getting admitted to most of those schools, albeit an international applicant.

My prediction: Duke (ED) accepted.

Chance me back, thanks!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1023716-chances-upenn-cornell-rice-uc-berkeley-cmu-nyu-boston-c-rd.html</a></p>

^^^ Really didn’t realize being a URM was THAT big of a boost. It’s nice to see I had a great chance, I thought my sub 2200 SAT was gonna hurt.

Chanced back btw.

Bumpity bump.

Probably only Duke, if any.
My friend had a 2300+ with a ton of other great EC and whatnot. But she got rejected at every IVy colleges.
Duke is a little better than ivies

I think you have a good shot at all your schools, but in all honesty, you won’t need it. I think you have a good chance of getting into Duke ED.

“Duke is a little better than ivies”

What? Depends which ones, HYP are definitely better. Penn and Columbia are debatable. Duke is better than the others though.

Application has officially been sent, now all I can do is wait.

I’m sorry I mean ‘better’ as in chance wise. Not the quality of the school.

^^^ Oh I see dhs, yes I would agree with you for most Ivies.

Bump, want to see some more opinions on this :)

Bump 10char

Bump 10char

It’s an ambitious list, but I think you have the stats. Just hope for the best, and I’m sure you’re going to get into at least a few of those schools.
Good luck! and thanks for the chance :)
