Chance for EA?

<p>Trying to decide whether or not applying to MIT early action would be a good decision or not, and want a feel of my chances of making it in. Thanks!</p>

<li>ACT: did not take</li>
<li>SAT II: 750 Math II, 680 Physics</li>
<li>Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0</li>
<li>Weighted GPA: 4.46</li>
<li>Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 5%</li>
<li>AP (place score in parenthesis): World History(4), Calculus AB & BC(5), Physics C (3), US History (3)</li>
<li>IB (place score in parenthesis): I don't take IB</li>
<li>Senior Year Course Load: Multivariable Calculus, Research, AP Chem, AP Gov, AP Lang, SCA Class (Only have 6 open blocks senior year)</li>
<li>Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): Waiting to hear back from National Merit, but in the 50,000 pool of kids waiting to be split into either Commended or Semi-Finalist. Nothing else really.</li>

Varsity tennis (9-12) will be a captain next year. Did debate junior year. Doing astrophysics research at the University of Maryland under a professor.</li>
<li>Job/Work Experience: Interned at NASA for a summer. (Co-author for a published research paper.)</li>
<li>Volunteer/Community service: Tutor math at a local middle school and tutor math at my high school.</li>
<li>Summer Activities: NASA internship, travel</li>
<li>Other: Will be a participant in the international space olympics in Russia and presenting my research.</li>
