These aren't a lot of EC's but I think Eagle Scout and LD Debate are pretty impressive, do you think that it is enough to show commitment and what not?

For Engineering they said they put the most emphasis on your math grades, SAT I M and SAT II M, which in all categories you far exceed their average… I think you have an excellent shot, but I obviously am no expert or even a student there so don’t put much stock in my answer.

Thank you two for such quick replies. Just a quick question, for my common application, there’s a section that asks you to elaborate on a single activity. I assumed that colleges understand how big of a deal Eagle Scout is, so I wrote about debate to emphasize it.

It makes the most sense to write about an activity that was extremely important to you and accomplished the most for you as a person. Write that. If it was the debate that did that, then write about the debate. If it was being a boy scout, then write about that.

As for chances, i say you have an excellent chance. Engineering doesnt care too much about CR and your score for that is terrible either. Strong SAT and Strong SAT II scores, great gpa, assuming your at least in the top 10%.

I would say that you have 75-80% of getting in.

Thanks again guys! This really lifts my spirit, because I’m the first in my family to go to college in the US I always had the impression that all Ivy League schools are impossible to get into - so I aimed for that. Fulfilling that goal would be super-special-awesome!
