Biographical Information:
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Asian
Location: CT
Recommendations: strong
(moved to CT from MI freshman year if that even matters)

Thanks so much again!

As you no doubt know, your GPA is not super high. But I think you really need to emphasis the art as your your defining accomplishment. Also, is your tennis good enough that you could play at Williams? That would surely help as well.

You can have great test scores and GPA and still not get admitted. But, it looks like your art and EC’s really sets you apart and would make you a desirable candidate in building a class. I would go for it.

Edit ACT score:
31 composite
English: 34
Math: 31
Reading: 34
Science: 29

Thanks for the feedback.
I’ll definitely take it into mind!
and to UT84321, no…I don’t think my tennis is good enough unfortunately.
I don’t play USTA sanctioned tournaments anymore so there’s no ranking to prove anything.

I would say you have a very slim chance. Someone with your grades and test scores would need absolutely exceptional extracurriculars. While yours are strong, they are not exceptional. I believe that the average athletic recruit has higher scores and grades than you.

Whoa.

I think to cutthroat someone’s first posting like that isn’t a very cool thing to do.
As a student here, I can’t help but say I am so SO humbled by everyone here.
There are people who were exceptional in their school (like you lakersfan) and those who weren’t so great in school. But every single person here, and by that i mean EVERYONE–has a special unique perspective on the world/ community around them. I think that your ACT score is right in the ballpark, whereas no so much your GPA. If you could really bring out why they want/ need you in your essay/ recommendations, I think your chances of getting in are going to be improved by miles!

And lakersfan… although I am very impressed by your stats/ scores, I don’t appreciate how you seem to be looking down upon people who don’t have as good stats as you do. And maybe that’s not what you mean at all! But you just come off as someone who puts himself on a pedestal in front of everyone else. And i highly doubt that admissions will appreciate that quality in you if they do see it in your application. Be careful in your wordings. It will make or break you.
