Chance for Engineering Schools Please

<p>So the colleges I am looking to be chanced for are, with emphasis on Georgia Tech. I will chance back! </p>

<p>-University of Rhode Island
-Purdue
-Worcester Polytechnic Institute
-Georgia Tech (!)</p>

<p>-650 Critical Reading, 690 Math, 600 Writing SAT for 1940 Overall
-3.338 Unweighted GPA, 3.75 Weighted (Strong upward trend, 4 APs in senior year)
-Ranked 18/165</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
-Rec hockey from age 7 to 17
-Cross Country 11th Grade
-Robotics Grade 12</p>

<p>Award: Pre-Calculus Student of the Year junior year</p>

<p>Classes:</p>

<p>Freshman Year: Normal English 9, H Geometry, H Physical Earth & Space Science, H World History, H Spanish 1, Gym&Health, 21st Century Skills Elective, Power&Energy elective</p>

<p>Sophomore Year: H English 10, H Algebra II, H Biology, H US History 1, Normal Spanish 2, Biotechnoloy elective, Gym&Health, Enhanced Writing Elective</p>

<p>Junior Year: H English 11, Normal Pre-calc(School did not offer honors pre calc that year!!), Duel-Enrollment US History 2, H Chemistry, AP Statistics, Art Foundations elective, graphic arts elective, Gym&health, WRT 104 Duel Enrollment course from local college</p>

<p>Senior Year: AP Chemistry, AP Euro, AP Lit, EEP Calculus (taking AB exam), H Physics, Gym&health and Team Sports elective</p>

<p>Strong upwards trend is present in my GPA, I got a 3.777 unweighted GPA first quarter of senior year and a 4.27 weighted. </p>

<p>English teacher said my college essay is phenomenal, got a 95 on it (she doesn't "give" 100s for essays)</p>

<p>Letter of Recommendation from pre-calc and current calculus teacher, was good, mentioned pre-calc student of the year award</p>

<p>Letter of Recommendation from 10th grade english teacher and 11th grade college writing elective, was pretty good </p>

<p>Thanks for reading my post, I'm most interested in hearing about chances for Georgia Tech as a chemical engineer.</p>

<p>Oh, I also live in Rhode Island so I’d be out of state for Georgia Tech and Purdue. I would be in state for URI though.</p>

<p>Keep in mind my school does not count electives towards GPA, so no brownie points for gym or graphic arts or even power and energy.</p>
