Thanks for the comments. Anyways, the thing is, I want to feel confident in terms of admissions, and I feel pretty confident, but a quick question I had, what negatives are there for applying to LSA and taking first year engineering courses, then transferring into engineering after freshman year, a friend of mine did this because at the time he was unsure what he wanted to do, and he has also recommended this for me; I’m stuck between pre-med and engineering and wanted to know what negatives there are for doing LSA first year then transferring, or visa-versa.

I’ll say apply as soon as you have everything done and carefully reviewed. U-mich is rolling, well, probably only for those who apply really early. I know tons of people who had everything in before Nov 1 and still haven’t heard anything back.

NHS is a BIG help, not to mention science related extracurriculars. I got in with traits much worse than yours (3.6 GPA), out of state and little extracurriculars, plus mich has a 56% acceptance rate from fall. 99% chance you’ll get in, don’t sweat. You have great stats.

Teaman, where did you get your 56% acceptance rate from? I saw someone say that OOS applicants were admitted at a higher rate this year, but I can’t find that stat anywhere on the website. Link?
