I won't type out the entire laundry list, but will still give the essentials

-Competitive public school (nationally ranked)
-3.4 GPA unweighted
-13 AP classes taken
-Many ECs, which are both diverse yet somewhat career oriented (3-4 leadership positions)
-One varsity sport
-Number of Awards (AP Scholar W/ Distinction, NHS, etc.)
-33 ACT/ SAT TBD (got 2250 on PSAT though, so please chance for 2200-2250)
-Essays should be good.
-Recs will be stellar
-Trilingual

Really, my question is if the 3.4 GPA will hold me back, given the other stats. I screwed up freshman year, but have gotten pretty much all A's since then.

well GPA is a big part of the admissions process, but it seems youve proven you can work hard and can at least handle a rigorous course load. id say Stanford is a biiittt of a stretch, just like it is for everyone, but hell, apply, you might get in. Upenn is a bit of a toss up too, but you have an very decent chance. NU and Chicago you have pretty good chances (50-75%). the others are shoe-ins. apply ED if you have a favorite to improve your chances

What is your class rank or decile? Assuming around the 20 to 25th percentile, I believe your GPA is too low for every school on your list, with the possible exception of UMaryland and UMichigan (but Michigan ONLY if you are in-state but still a low reach), and unfortunately your decent ACT score will not sufficiently compensate for this at these very selective schools.

Might look at Colgate and Holy Cross both very good LAC’s that rank in the top 15 of CNBC’s Payscale salary rating and both have great business alumni networks.

Its true that GPA is an important part of the admissions process, but in your case it is pretty clear to me that in your case it wont hold you back, as you have proven that you can handle BIG amounts of work rather nicely (3.4 isnt that low in my opinion considering you have taken 13 APs!!) and that you get involved in various ECs. I believe you have a good shot at any of the schools you listed. Good luck and chance me back please!
