RD, these are all reaches for everyone who isn’t strongly hooked.

  1. Have you run the NPC to make reasonably sure your family can afford them?
  2. Have you identified a few matches and at least one safety? If you only applied to these three schools, you'd be taking a huge risk. You probably have, but i wanted to mention this just in case you haven't...

ED (SCEA at Harvard) will increase your chances, but you should only do that if you have established a clear favorite.

Hahaha it seems like I’m from the same area of NY (Long island, right?) our part of the country is extremely competitive, as there are tons of kids who are fantastic. You’ve got a lot going for you, but same thing for a lot of people. UPenn, though, might not be as high of a reach (still a reach though) as the others.

You have a great chance at u penn as far as I know, but Harvard and Columbia are pretty unpredictable. You are as qualified as any though, best of luck!
