I'm afraid that my SAT's and EC's are going to kill me.
I feel confident that my app essays are pretty good.

I am interested in studying electrical/computer engineering. Any recommendations for other schools that may be a good fit for me would be much appreciated!

Harvey Mudd - low reach
CMU - low reach
Cornell - reach
Berkeley - high match/low reach
GA Tech - high match
UIUC - high match

Do you have time to take the SAT once more?
Your ECs aren’t too strong, but at least they’re consistent

Mine please?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1567285-chance-transfer.html

You gpa looks kinda inflated though. Might want to boost that gpa. I think all of the schools are a low reach

The way my school district adjusts GPAs is a “bonus” .05 points per semester of an AP class and a “bonus” .025 points per semester of an honors class. That being said, my GPA will be a 5.55 at the end of my senior year… assuming I maintain A’s.

Like you realized, your SATs and your ECs are your weakest point right now, but a lot of that depends on your family background. As long as you express your interest in Computer/Electrical engineering, you have as good a shot as any other person. I can see you into GA Tech, probably Berkeley as well and with a solid chance at Mudd, Cornell, and CMU. I go to Mudd, so I recommend it the most. I turned down all the schools (except Berkeley which I didn’t apply to and UIUC which I have never heard of) to go to Mudd. I recommend Berkeley the least due to the financial issues they are having. One of my close friends at Mudd was deciding between Mudd and Berkeley. His mom actually worked at Berkeley and he happened to have a meeting with the head of the department of engineering at Berkeley who told him specifically not to go there.
