Essay: I am starting to prepare and write about how I coped with my fear of failure and learned to let go of being perfectionist.

It is not out of the question - your stats look pretty good, but please realize that Ivy League schools are a long shot for everyone and anyone. Be sure you find a few safety schools you can be happy with and don’t let getting into an Ivy define who you are.

Don’t write about being or formally being a perfectionist - pretentious.

agree with above poster, sounds like a risky topic. Cornell would be a match, other 2nd tier ivies would be low reaches (your gpa is very low for an Asian), and the top ivies would be mid-high reaches as they’d be reaches even with a perfect gpa.

Less competitive Ivy leaguers would be very high matches/low reaches in my opinion–schools like Cornell or maybe Dartmouth. As far as Harvard/Yale, they are high reaches for everyone. Help me out? :wink: <a href=“Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums;
