Chance for IVYs and other top schools

Hey I am just trying to get a feel for my chances in regards to the top tier schools

here are the stats..

Highly competitive public high school in the Silicon Valley/Bay Area (California)
Top 5-7% out of a bit over 415 students
Unw. GPA: 3.85 <--Im not sure if this will be my undoing at this level of selection the only Bs
I received were in the hardest AP/Honors classes at my school
W. GPA 4.4 out of 4.51[ this is inclusive of all the AP/Honors courses I have taken not just 8 semesters]
W.GPA 4.07 [ includes only 8 semesters of weighted GPA ..its out of 4.1]
SATII: 740 Chem 790 U.S History 750 Math
[ I really dont know what is going wrong in math..I just can't seem to deliver ie. gett 770+ on the actual test date but when taking practice tests like Barron or the Official SATII Math college board tests at home I rarely score below a 780..] I am not sure exactly how much these scores will hurt me considering most people I know have near 800s in seemingly all their subjects
SAT1: Math:800 CR:720 W:760 2280
Second Time: Math 800 CR:750 W:760 2310
AP tests: 5 on all [ chem bio statistics u.s history lit econ calc comp. sci]
Schedule: I picked the hardest schedule possible at school
One only 9 or 10 students in my school's history to finish Calc Bc sophomore year
After Sophomore year only one class was not honors/AP [advanced drama]

Please do not be so modest ;-). Your academic resume is amazing and your ECs are stellar. The only way now that you could ruin your chances is by answering the essays and personal statements flippantly but I truly doubt you will do this :-). You have an astounding chance at ALL the schools you are applying to. Congrats on your accomplishments! Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816473-chance-aa-female-elite-schools-updated-stats.html</a> <–Include Yale also!

I could reallly use some advice thankss

The important question is…what is your ethnicity?

Hahaha unfortunately nothing special there just one of the many asian [indian] guys applying to big colleges

Buuuummppp
I need some more help guysss

You have a good shot. Your awards are great! Also I think you could definitley get accepted to Stanford. I had an expense paid trip to Stanford and your stats are FAR greater then mine. Don’t shoot yourself short- apply to Stanford. Now chance me! LOL http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/821431-would-you-accept-me-if-you-were-admissions-officer.html</a></p>

Well, your stats are very impressive…and don’t worry, you have not failed by not getting an 800 on Math b/c a 750 is still very respectable. But I think the admissions officers reading your apps will be absolutely blown away by your ECs/awards/volunteer/etc. I can’t imagine how you balance school with all of that to still get amazing grades. I’m not too familiar with the schools you posted, but from a general perspective, your stats/ECs are a winning combo. With all that said, you definitely are a competitor at any school…Good luck!

Come on CC!! 160 views and only 3 or 4 real responses?? I really need hellppp

What kind of response do you want? Stop harassing this thread with “bumps”, one or two is fine but you have like 10 of them. If people think you need advice, they’ll chance you. Obviously you’re a strong candidate, what more do you want anyone to say?
