Great Essays, Great recommendations

what do you think?

have you even talked to the coaches? they will tell you, not us.

yeah ive talked to coaches. if i get my time down a little then i can get recruited. but i want chances based off of if im not going to get recruited

If you’re not a recruit, that 1920 SAT score is gonna put JHU out of reach.

Do you hold any records or awards in swimming? If you just, well, swim on a team, that doesn’t mean anything.

Is this for this application season? The coaches mostly already know who they’ll be supporting.

The first 6 schools on your list will be tough without higher scores.

yeah, many of your schools will be tough based on your standardized testing scores

but i think you definitely have a chance (assuming your transcript is solid since it looks like you challenge yourself in school)

sorry for late response

im captain of my team. and i have an agreement with jhu coach concerning my recruitment. if i can better my times a little.

im taking act this saturday and shooting for 31 or 32 will i have a more solid chance at only reporting the act?

Yeah well it’s a little too late to better your times don’t you think? If the school was serious about recruiting you, it’d be set by now.

not according to coaches… thanks for your reply

what do you think my chances are aside from athletic recruitment, mainly at jhu, UCSD, USC, UCLA, and columbia (i have a LOT of connections here and high standing alumni who love me)

wanted to point out i plan on majoring in neuroscience. and i intern with a top surgeon in the OR physically every week.

any other schools youd suggest?

whatre your times? im a senior this year trying to get recruited for swimming also.

UCLA doesn’t have a men’s swim team. Good luck with the rest. Do you have junior national times? Most coaches want them. USC would most likely not even respond without them.

You have a lot of confidence in the unusual-coaches waiting on better times, alumni connections getting you into Columbia with sub par stats. It my be time to get real so you can form a real list based on the reality of your stats. I say this as a former college counselor who saw many only get real when it was too late to focus on their best possibilities.
