Chance for Johns Hopkins

<p>Hi everyone! Now in the summer between Junior and Senior year, I've been forced to whittle down my college list and have picked JHU as one of my top picks.</p>

<p>GPA (weighted): 3.92
GPA (unweighted): 3.694</p>

<p>Go to a very rigorous school, but have an upward trend in grades.</p>

<p>AP Classes Taken:
AP Latin Vergil - 4
AP US History - 3 (I don't know why I took this class...)
AP Physics B - 4
AP Statistics - 4
AP Biology (senior year)
AP Calculus BC (senior year)
AP English Lit. (senior year)
AP Chemistry (senior year)</p>

<p>And probably in the neighborhood of ten honors classes</p>

<p>SAT I: 760 Math, 740 Reading, 670 Writing (bad essay), 2170 overall (going to retake Nov. 5)
SAT II: Going to take Literature, Physics, Math II on Oct. 1</p>

<p>ACT: 35 Writing, 34 Reading, 33 Math, 28 Science (didn't finish), 33 composite</p>

<p>Varsity Swimming for 4 years, Team Captain, many awards, swam since I was 2 years old.
Biology Club (Beta Beta Beta)
EXCELLENT recommendations.
Volunteer work at Food Banks and Kitchens, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Project CURE, fundraisers involving swimathons, along with many others.
Honor roll for all four years
4x Academic Letter, 4x Athletic Letter
Work at a company that manufactures custom wheelchair seating (medical field?)
Don't know if this is considered, but my school is ranked highest academically and on rigor in the state, ranked nationally in the top 100 US for ACT scores, top in the state.
