Chance for Medical/Dental School?

Hi!
I am reaching out here because noone will break it down for me here…
Stats:
GPA: 3.41 (hoping to bring it up to a 3.5 by the end of this semester)
-various leadership positions, including VP, President, and cabinet memberships
-various shadowing/volunteering hours

I am really passionate about attending medical school; however, just recently, dental school has become another option for me. Is it possible for me to apply to medical school? I do not want to apply or plan on applying if I know I will get rejected…should i just set my mind on dental school as I know that the gpa stats are a bit lower? I haven’t taken the MCAT/DAT yet because I want to decide which field first…what are my chances? I am a virginia resident and would love to go to VCU for dental or EVMS for medical… currently at virginia tech as an undergraduate.

Thank you…

Without an MCAT score this thread is completely useless. No one can tell you anything other than your GPA is low compared to most successful applicants, but an amazing MCAT can tip those scales. Your GPA in the core med school courses (Chem, O Chem, Physics, etc.) is also important.
