Chance for Northeastern & Boston University??

Hi I've been stressing a lot over my chances of getting into these two colleges. recently the current president of my NHS chapter get rejected from Northeastern and that really frightened me. I'm currently a junior by the way. So, I came out here to get some opinions

lastly I've had a dramatic upward trend of GPA. Freshman year weighted: 3.73, Sophomore year weighted; 3.87, Junior year weighted: 4.31 (so far) so do you think colleges will look at that

so yeah please give me feedback because I'm really anxious and NU is my dream school D:

I was waitlisted to NU, and accepted to BU without aid out of high school (2 years ago). My HS profile being

~3.75 Unweighted GPA (Class Salutatorian)

I expected my EC’s to make up for my below average SAT, but that didn’t work out. That said, I think your 1900 combined with your EC’s and GPA gives you a decent shot, but I don’t think its definite either way. If you take the SAT again and improve a bit it’d be a big help.

I think that you have a pretty decent shot at both schools, given your grades and ECs. Would like to see a at least a 2000+ on those SATs.

BU lets high school students take classes there during their summer term. (technically, they have 2 summer terms) Maybe Northeastern does too? Could be nice to have some college-coursework experience for your resume. Also gives you a taste of what that school is like. And, if you earn credit, it gives you a head start if you get admitted.

yeah I’m taking the SATs and hopefully I can boost it up to a 2000, atleast superscored.

Bump; also my chances for BC, TCNJ, and Marist?

Go Huskies - you’re a shoe-in at NU, given this is a safety school for most…

NU: match
BU: high match
TCNJ: match
BC: low reached
Marist: ?

It would really help your chances if you could improve you SAT score to make up for mediocre rigor of schedule

Chance back
