I am the Senator of my region for JSA
Treasurer of Science Club
Treasurer of GirlUP Club
Model UN (first year at my school)

I have played the violin since I was 4, and have picked up the viola and flute along the way. I have played in 2 orchestras outside of school, and I have played in my school's Symphonic Band (the most advanced available, although I wish the pieces were more challenging) for 3 years.

Varsity water polo for 4 years, varsity swimming for 3, and varsity golf this Spring. I also do Judo on my own time outside of school.

I am visiting in late October and will have a campus tour. Do I have any chance of attending?

I’m guessing your overall GPA is somewhere around like a 3.8? Your grades are on the edge (average GPA accepted is a 3.79) and test scores are fine, but your ECs are weak. If you attempt to get out more and volunteer and get some community services and awards, it would help you because Northwestern is selective. It’s a low match, but you definitely have a chance!
Best of luck,
chance me?

Do you have any other ECs? Your objective stats are fine, but you need some more ECs, especially leadership positions. I would say its a low reach.

By the way, @embrunn I’m pretty sure low match means it’s easier than a match. I think you meant high match. (low-high is a spectrum not description).

Being a senator for JSA is a big role and leadership position…I forgot to mention I’m also a part of Link Crew, which helps freshman who are entering high school by being their advisor and tutor. I do a lot of service for Girls Inc through Girl Up too. I’ve also Done a fair amount of community service through JSA activism projects and helping my local low income middle school

You don’t have a lot of ECs but the ones you do have are impressive. As for the volunteering, I know the GirlUp campaign is designed for like female equality and empowerment, which although is not volunteering, shows that you are giving back to your community in some way. Your GPA and SAT look fine so you have a good shot I think.
