Your SAT is a bit low, but your GPA is great. You have a lot of EC’s and service so I’d say that you have a good shot.

thanks kcombs! are you applying to notre dame?

and does anyone else want to chance me? thanks ahead of time

NDGuy93,

Congrats on all your hard work - it shows in your results. If your passion is Notre Dame - and you have been able to convey that very well in your essays…you should be fine. You have a very solid history of service to your community and bring a competitive set of academic numbers to admissions. Make a strong connection with your ND admissions councelor… and stay in touch with him or her through the process. Rigor of classes is the 1st criteria for ND in applicants and it appears you have that. Make them aware of your passion and do not give up if your EA gets deferred to RD. It is a very stressful time for you, I know, but believe me I have been in your place through my son. He was “on the outside looking in” to his dream school - Notre Dame - with numbers less than yours in an incoming class that had the highest academic profile in the schools history and he was waitlisted into May of this year. He just finished his last final today in Pre-Professional/Pre Med at ND! Your last 2 words are the most important indicator of the best attitude you could have…GO IRISH!! Keep the faith and good luck.

I am applying to Notre Dame EA. You can see my stats in the “Sorry, but Chances” thread, though I don’t hold a candle to you.

Kcombs, I think you have just as good of a chance as I do. Good luck!

Anyone else care to chance me?

NDGuy it looks like you have it in the bag. Ive applied too, anxiously waiting to hear back…
I’m actually from florida too- what hs do you go to?

I would say that you have a very good shot especially with all of the community service, something I didn’t do as much as I should have. Could everyone please chance me too? I posted Please Chance me EA. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm maybe, I guess we’ll see in a few days!

ND uses ACT/SAT pretty heavily on the EA decision. I think a 32 on the ACT will get you differed into the RD pool.

5 kids applied EA to ND at my school…3 of them received letters saying that were admitted. The others did not get feedback yet, and they had pretty low stats. I’m not being an a**hole, but I think you might have been deferred. Sorry man. :/

Thank you to everyone who chanced me! And StarStunning, I wish I had been deferred. However, I was actually rejected all together. It came as a huge surprise, since I never really saw it coming. But hey, as they say, everything happens for a reason and I guess I just wasn’t meant to go there. Congrats to everyone who got in, and good luck to anyone who was deferred!

Tough luck bro! Donno what the Adcoms were thinking!

If ND is your 1st choice, maybe try to transfer in the second year. (that’s what I’m planning to do, most likely will join you in the rejection pile).

There are plenty of other great schools out there, and with your profile, you’ll get into a great one!
