I am thinking of applying to NYU ED. that is wat people have been telling me to do. Is that the right choice? I think i would apply to NYU CAS. Is that the best school to do premed? Thats wat I want to study and do you think that that would be the best choice for me? Thanks!

NYU- high match
Columbia-high reach
Boston College- match
Boston University-low match
Johns Hopkins- reach
UCLA- reach oos

I agree with funployee

NYU - match
Columbia - reach
Boston College - match
JHU - match
UCLA - reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/859398-3-cs-1-f-senior-year-now-what.html

nyu- match
columbia -low reatch
boston college- low match
jhu- reach
ucla - high reach

chance me?

NYU- match, one of my friends got in here with way lower stats than you
Columbia- reach because its an ivy
Boston College- reach because they are unnecessarily selective
Boston University- match
Johns Hopkins- reach
UCLA- not exactly sure, i would go with match but i am wondering on oos UC admissions myself. they’re going to be looking for more oos students in the coming years so our chances are higher!

on the east coast for pre-med, i’d look at Brandeis (in Waltham MA, its got a castle on campus!), Tufts (great pre-med), BU… not that knowledgeable about good pre-med schools but Emory(in Georgia) and UVa are great schools too, at least worth a look

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/894520-chance-hopeful-junior.html

i’d say you would possibly get into columbia and most likely get into all the others. but don’t doubt your chances at columbia…they are not extremely selective like some of the other ivy’s…

^Columbia College admitted 8% of its applicants this year.

NYU- match
Columbia- high reach
Boston College- high match
Boston University- in
Johns Hopkins- reach
UCLA- low reach (OOS), but only if you get good SAT’s

A lot of people, like forzorn, are REALLY underestimating you

I recommend that you also consider Michigan, U.Va, William & Mary, Cornell, American U (as a safety), UChicago, Brandeis U, and Tufts U.

Columbia and JHU are the only ones where you’re not definitely in. It depends on your SAT scores and rank. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/897711-chance-me.html

you need more extracurriculiar activities…

the trend in your grades isn’t going to help. Specifically, several Bs in honors/AP classes in junior year, combined with a low ACT, make the Ivies an impossibility and BC a reach. ECs aren’t spectacular either. Sorry, just my 2 cents.
