I've never posted on something like this before, so forgive me if I give too much/too little information.

Lately I've been having some anxiety over getting into the Gallatin School for Individualized Study at NYU, and I wanted to know my chances with these stats:

-I'm a white male, if that counts for anything
-GPA as of junior year: 4.3 weighted, 3.9 unweighted
-First attempt on SAT I: 1960 combined, above a 620 on all scores
-Taking the SAT II next month, then the SAT I again in the fall
-President of my class freshman year--junior year, president of the student council executive board senior year
-Drama club member from sophomore year--senior year
-I've been dancing at the same studio for 15 years, taking classes in all disciplines after school
-Volunteering at the studio since 2009 for 4 hrs/week during the school year
-Intern graphic designer at a local silkscreen/embroidery shop
-Certified lifeguard (is that relevant?)
-Winner of two district gold medals at the SkillsUSA competition for advertising design

As far as my academics go, I have taken all honors classes in high school, and started AP classes junior year (this is as soon as my school allows). My public school is also a tech school, so I have been taking a period a day in graphic design since freshman year. Not a traditional voc-tech education.

I will have taken English Language & Composition (A), US History (B), Art History (A+), Studio Art, English Literature, and Psychology at the AP level by my senior year. The grades I listed were for the classes I've taken this year and my current grades for those.

Besides that, I have a full artistic portfolio and would like to have my concentration at Gallatin combine business and art aspects of graphic design.

Would appreciate any thoughts on how I can improve my chances going into senior year/where I stand right now for that particular school? I know that NYU is very selective, though I am unsure how selective in particular Gallatin is. It seems that nobody really knows, as I've seen anywhere from 7%--40% on here...a definitive answer would be helpful too!
