Hey guys, thanks for looking.

Some basic information -
Male, competitive public in NJ, asian.
Parents are not divorced, but father is expat in China. He started working in China when I was in the 7th grade. I'm not sure if this makes any difference but just thought I'd throw it out there.

GPA (4.3 Scale)
Freshman GPA - 3.45 UW
Sophomore GPA - 3.55 UW
Junior GPA - 3.9 UW
Cumulative - 3.63 UW

My school offers a wide spectrum of higher level classes, but I only took 1 honors course freshman year, and 2 sophomore year. AP classes, other than APUSHI are not offered to underclassmen. Junior year I took 3 APs and 2 honors, a much more competitive schedule. My senior schedule consists of 5 APs and 1 honors course. I'm hoping the upward trend will help me out with my weak underclassmen stats, but i'm unsure of just how much.

Few things I want to point out/get feedback on:
My upward trend. Just how significant is it to the schools I'm applying to?
My mediocre cumulative gpa. How much is it going to hurt me?
The weak schedule of my freshman and sophomore years. My classes junior and senior year take full advantage of the most rigorous classes offered, but still the problem of fresh/soph year remains.
