Thanks for your time! :) I'll chance back- send me the link!

Raise your test scores for Princeton, Brown, Yale, and Hopkins. You’re ECs are numerous and you have decent amount of leadership in them, but they aren’t really focused. You major awards are good, but they aren’t anything spectacular. You’re story is inspiring: milk it. UPenn, Yale, Princeton, and Brown are reaches due to test scores and lack of an obvious hook. Cornell is a good match. I think you’ll get into most of the others for sure.
Chance me back please (also in chance forum)?

You chose well to go Penn ED in terms of the ED advantage which posits you favorably in the admissions process. However, I shall warn you that Penn has an extremely competitive pre-med program. 2/3 of penn pre-meds take a gap year before entering med school and I know several people who have been kicked out of the pre-med program and have had to switch majors because of the difficulty. Seeing that you are not the academically strongest student (def. not weak) you should be cautioned. Of course other schools have competitive pre-med programs, but I’ve never had a good feeling about Penn for pre-med. If you are satisfied with your choice and believe you can handle it, by all means go for it.

Thanks for the post Illusionist!
And thank you for the warning dblazer - I’ll keep that in mind.

Can anyone else chance me? I’ll chance back!

Anyone? :

BUMP! … anymore opinions? :)

I think you have a decent shot at UPenn ED, like a 50/50 chance. Your stats are great, but you don’t quite have that wow factor, so stand out in your essays and I think you’ll have a great shot. I’d say youd get into the others, minus Princeton, Brown and Yale (if you go RD at the latter two)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1191394-will-i-competitive-duke.html
