You sound like an awesome canidate! Your 9th Grade summer sounds really exciting, and I think it would be a good essay topic. Other schools to consider:Ohio State, UWashington, UNC Chapel Hill. GOOD LUCK!

You are in at Rutger’s 6 year pharm program, that too with the highest scholarship. My friend got in and was not nearly as good as you. Can’t speak much for the other schools because my friend didn’t apply there, but from my knowledge pharmacy programs are pretty easy to get into.

Oh and I think a school in Rhode Island is really good too for a pharm program, don’t remember the name right now (wild guess… university of rhode island?)

Thanks  I was worried because I heard that the pharmacy program in Rutgers was extremely difficult to get into…And thanks for the other colleges! I’ll definitely look into them.

Question… I was also considering getting into Pharmacy… However, I know that before you get into Pharmacy school, you have to do your prerequisites and also take the PCAT. I was wondering why you were looking into pharmacy schools this early? I thought you could go to any university to take your prerequisites, take the PCAT and then apply for pharmacy schools.

Most of the universities I’m looking into for pharmacy are 0-6 which means I am guaranteed a spot for my professional years as long as I maintain a certain GPA. And for 0-6 programs, I wouldn’t have to take the PCAT.

What exactly is 0-6? I would be very interested in looking at schools that offer that.

“0-6” and “Early Assurance” Programs

Can I enroll in a pharmacy school right after high school?

Yes. Some pharmacy schools accept students immediately after they graduate from high school. Pharmacy schools that accept all or most students directly from high school are referred to as “0-6” programs because these students can complete their pre-pharmacy and professional study within six years after high school. Students enrolled in a “0-6” program who successfully complete the first two years of pre-professional study (and any other stated contingencies) are guaranteed admission into the four-year professional pharmacy degree program. Below are AACP institutions classified as “0-6” degree programs."
