actually i would love to go to ucsd over those oos schools...but uci and ucd dont have many majors that i wanted...which are solid undergrad biz schools...
and i heard that ucsd has a decent program...but i dont think i have a great chance...even tho i have a shot..

dnduswo, I think it could go either way with these 2 schools, but I definitely think you have a shot. Two other schools I would look at that I think you may have a good shot at are Rutgers (New Brunswick) and Syracuse. Both have solid business schools. Best of luck!

thanks....so would you say its 50/50??
and thank you for suggestion...but i dont think they are for me...especially syracus..(worst location that i can think of)

dnduswo, I was just looking at some of the breakdowns of entering freshman classes for some of the good business schools and it appears like your best shot would be at Wisconsin (average business school SAT is around 1260/1%asian) as compared to Maryland (average middle 1310-1400/20% asian). I actually would have thought it would have been the other way around. There are a number of other excellent schools that have business programs that you would get into -Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State and Michigan State. Some have direct admissions for freshman. If you don't get in for direct admissions you can apply for admittance to the business school at a later date. All are very good schools and these are the ones that many people (including myself )frequently list. Below are some other good schools that may not be mentioned as much but are also very good. These are figures for the most recent entering freshman business class.

University of Washington Middle 50% 1120-1300/30% asian
Georgia Tech Middle 50% 1220-1330/12%
Tulane Middle 50% 1200-1350/7%
Northeastern Middle 50% 1190-1290/8%
Fordham Middle 50% 1110-1260/8%
VA Tech Middle 50%1110-1250/10%

Your combined SAT is right in range for these schools. Although I don't actually know, I would think that the Math SAT grade would be very important for business major admissions. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
