Hi!
Wake Forest is my absolute top choice college at this point but is by far the most “reach” school on my list. I’ve already submitted my application for RD, but am getting a bit worried now, and wishing I hadn’t submitted quite yet. I’d love to hear if anyone who has similar stats to mine can provide insight into their admissions result.
My best ACT score is from the October Test: 29C (35R, 34E, 23M, 24S) I realize this is an average-below average score for Wake, I haven’t submitted. I’m debating whether to send or not, I’m not sure if it would be better to send or not. Any insight or suggestions? I’m not really looking to take the test again, this is my best score out of three tests.

I feel very confidently that my essays and recommendations were both very strong, as well as my Skype interview.
GPA UW 3.71
GPA W 3.86
My low class rank (top 25%ish) and GPA is in part due to an F drop on my transcript from sophomore year. I explained this in the Common App. I am regretting that I didn’t explain a C I got in Chemistry. The class is notoriously hard at my school and the teacher is quite stubborn, among other things. My grade ended up being a 79 that he would not round so that I could get a B. I wish I could explain this!! Is it too late given that I have submitted my RD app?
My transcript this year is looking awesome, I think I will be able to pull off 4.0 or better, and I’m not taking an easy senior year by any means. Submitting the mid-year transcript should be good.
I realize Wake is a stretch, but I have yet to find a school I love as much as Wake. Does anyone have any insights about test scores, etc? Would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
