Chance for RD to Business School?

<p>Based plainly on SAT, GPA, and Senior Classes what would you say my chances are for acceptance regular decision to VSB?</p>

<p>GPA: 4.62 / 5
SAT: 2150/2400, 1410/1600</p>

<p>SAT II:
- Math 2: 690
- French: 630
- Literature: 610</p>

<p>5 APs by the end of Senior Year:
French Language, English Literature, Statistics, Calculus AB, and Art 2D Design (took it last year, received a 5)</p>

<p>First Term Grades in AP Classes:
French: B
English: B
Stats: A-
Calc: A</p>

<p>I think you have a chance but I would not say it is 100%. Your test scores are in line with them but the SAT IIs and your AP courseload seems kind of low. I think you would definitely be in to another school at NOVA, but VSB is more competitive. I would say around a 70% chance. Good luck!</p>

<p>don’t send your subject tests. i did about the same on them as you did and i didn’t send them and got in. they don’t require them. you have a great chance. also, nova doesn’t even looking at writing. what was your math SAT I score? good luck</p>

<p>yea my SAT II’s weren’t so hot - I didn’t take the Math I test, but oh well. I got a 780 on the Math section of the Regular SAT though so I guess that saying something haha. As for my APs, this # of AP classes is very rigorous for my school, if that helps give any kind of perspective haha. I really hope I get in, I really want to go to Nova haha (I applied Early Decision to Washington University in St. Louis and was deferred, so my priorities have changed since the Early deadlines haha)</p>

<p>Also, while I’m at it, how about I let you in on some of my extra cirriculars and such to give you more insight into what my application looks like:</p>

<p>Activities:

  • President of 2 different Community Service Clubs at my school
  • Treasurer of National Honors Society
  • Spent 2 summers at Brown University at their Leadership Institute (took two classes - “Leadership & Global Engagement” and “Changing Business: Becoming a Social Entrepreneur”
  • Was a student advisor on a school committee board
  • Played soccer for 3 years (JV captain for one year)
  • French Foreign Exchange
  • Layout editor of school newspaper
  • Volunteer as a elementary school reading buddy over the summer
  • Tutor math to a middle school and a high school student</p>

<p>Awards:

  • School award for academic excellency
  • Citation from State Senator for Community Service Club Involvement
  • $500 Grant from DoSomething.org
  • Featured as Project of the Day on DoSomething.org</p>

<p>I’d say you have a very good chance. You seem to have good EC’s and your SAT is definitley there. I agree with upenngirl - I wouldn’t send the subject tests.</p>
