Summer Programs:
This is a state-funded month-long program where I studied flight science at Appalachian State University for 4 weeks. I learned about the effects of air resistance and drag coefficient, as well as lift, thrust, and gravity, on the flight of a rocket in order to achieve maximum apogee and flight time. For my final product, I successfully designed a model rocket that achieved a maximum apogee of over 300 meters and a flight time of 26 seconds (this was completed through the use of a recovery system that deployed as predicted in test flights), as well as the composition of a paper that described the physics behind its construction and an in-depth analysis of the data

You should be fine.

You look like a very strong candidate. I suggest looking at the EA results of other students. Why didn’t you apply EA? I was also hoping to hear some golf statistics.

I’m actually asking myself that question haha I guess I wanted to save some money if Duke didn’t work out…which it didn’t so yeah I’m kicking myself lol.

I didn’t really have time to play on my school team since I’m president of other clubs but I’m an 8 handicap!

Anyone else? I’ll chance back!

I would say your chances are good (versus excellent): your highest ACT score will be considered, but not superscored. You will also not receive “extra credit” for sending in SAT II scores above 700 since you are not sending any, and you will not get extra credit for receiving a 3 on your AP math exam. You will be competing against other applicants who will have sent some strong SAT II’s and scored all 4’s and 5’s on AP’s, which will give them an edge on these components of the application. Your EC’s will keep you in the running but where you really shine is in your uw and w GPA, and class rank. Good luck!

Yeah I got a 760 on Math II and sent that but that’s it (got a 680 in Biology, but a 4 on the AP exam). I heard that they don’t usually take AP scores into consideration (I’ve seen a lot of people on this forum say this) so hopefully that shouldn’t hurt me.

I’m hoping my rank/GPA/ECs will carry me to acceptance since I really have no idea what more I could have done Extra-Curricularly…

Bump please!

…Anyone else? I’ll chance back!
