Is that seriously your only EC activity? Suing? You’re GPA is far too low for the Princeton average, even without considering freshman year. Lacking unique ECs/awards, dual citizenry is not a hook. Honestly I doubt you’ll get in, you might want to aim for something more within reach.

Thanks for the chance. Your scores are right in their median 50th percentile, but the gpa is definitely low. It would help if princeton did discount freshman year, although I’m not sure if they do or not. Although I do to a degree agree with the person above citing an extracurricular deficiency, I think it is unique that you have filed a lawsuit, and run a not for profit.

All in all, I think it’s quite a stretch, but not a complete impossibility. You might want to consider other early options as well and decide if this is your best one.

A lawsuit is not an extracurricular. Because it isn’t, you have no school-related extracurriculars, which certainly isn’t a good thing. The not for profit looks awesome, as does the journalism. Although your scores are within Princeton’s average, your GPA is definitely a detriment. Princeton, even SCEA, is a reach/high reach.

Plus, the journalism is only during the summer. As far as we see, you, as said, have no school related EC’s and the only EC’s you do have are being a member of a committee and being the founder of a non-prof. Not bad, but you have to realize that other Princeton applicants have like 10x more impressive stats than you do, and they’ll get rejected. Don’t waste your SCEA on Princeton. I really mean that you’ll waste it because you could easily apply SCEA or ED or EA to a school you’ll be much more likely to get in and not have to worry about apps the rest of the year.

hang on guys, I do have school related EC’s, I just thought they were minor next to my non profit/journalism. I am the president of the business club, founder and three year president of the debate team, and the senior class treasurer. Helps me at all?

Dude, any ECs help you. Just because one is “worse” than the other doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put it on your application - and those are great! You’re in student government and have two interesting ECs with leadership.

And no, I doubt dual citizenship helps any.

I think its a reach even with the ECs. Your GPA is low. However the nonprofit and suing is rather unique. And your other Ecs are pretty good. But I don’t see a strong passion in your resume and I don’t think its enough to make you stand out. But don’t let this stop you from trying! Anything can happen! Good luck!
