Do I have a chance at getting into Stanford? What should I focus on the most to increase my chances?

Thank you both for the responses. I understand that I am not quite qualified, but am working hard to get there. Thank you MeIsHM for the advice about the SAT scores, I will continue to study hard and see how it goes.

Oooo trap shooting sounds cool. sosomenza is just being mean/ bitter. Honestly, one thing you’ll learn on CC is no one here can tell you what your chances are. The best way to figure it out or judge for yourself is to look at the previous year’s accepted student stats and even if none of them sound like you or all of them seem to be more amazing than you, you never know. I think the biggest problem you have with your stuff right now is our GPA. If you’ve only taken 2 APs and are getting a 3.8 at a not so competitive school, it’ll really hurt you. Really try to get straight As this semester and first semester of senior year. Dropping an EC and focusing on studying to get those As will look much better.

I think your ECs are fine. You seem very involved and committed. What I advise you to do for the summer is get an internship instead of taking summer classes. Internships are much more selective and show your professional interests better than classes imo. I took a class during my internship last summer, so if there’s someting you really want to take, it’s possible. The only thing I have to warn you about internships is almost everyone else tries to do this during summer as well so you won’t really stand out for it, but then again almost everyone else takes summer classes too. (When I say everyone else, I’m talking about CC ppl in general, not sane normal humans lol)
