With your URM status and those EC’s, you seem pretty qualified for those schools. Just remember to do well on those essays because it’s the essays that can make or break your admission.

I would say Mid to high Reaches for Stanford.

@erothu yes. Stanford has an acceptance rate less than 7%. You’re not extraordinary in Stanford’s applicant pool; they have MANY students similar to you and even students better than you to choose from. That can’t be shocking, lol.

Once you reach a certain point (a point that you happen to be at) there isn’t much you can do to improve. You’ve kinda gotta just sit back and watch. Write a great essay. That’s pretty much it

Yes, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, and Harvard are reaches for everyone simply because they are so selective. UC Berkeley is a match unless you’re applying to the College of Engineering for EECS, Engineering Undeclared, or BioE, in which case it’s a reach.

You can’t; they are a crapshoot for everyone. Write quality essays, keep your grades up. You will get into some good schools, but nobody here can say what Stanford is looking for in any given year.

Lol focus on getting a good ethnicity and not being international. Try to tick off black to boost your odds, but your international status will hurt a lot except at Berkeley where international is better than out of state.
