Large public high school; very diverse
200k income. Applied for FA. Brother in college

Extracurriculars: 2 summer jobs. ~45 hours a week. Travel baseball for 6 years. Did this every summer until I started working. Varsity Baseball all 4 years. Captain senior year. BEE leader (freshman mentor). Student Athlete Leadership Team. Piano lessons for 4 years. Summer Baseball for school every year.

Yeah I know those are pretty weak.

So what are my chances.

Are you looking to be a Varsity student-athlete?

All of the schools on your list that are Colgate and above are going to be reaches with a 32 ACT as that is at the bottom-25%, and furthermore they are reaches for everyone anyways, even with a 34+ ACT. Richmond and Rochester will be a smidge easier and then Union and Dickinson, so these last two should be matches.

OP has two good acceptances, we don’t know if fin aid meets his hopes.

Yes, it’s hard to wait. But nothing we say, at this point, can reveal more until the results come through. I sometimes think dealing with others’ speculation now is harder than waiting.

Best wishes.

If you are recruitable for baseball, try to see if the D3 schools are interested.

Vandy would be out for baseball since they are a major power (CWS champs or runners up for the last few years) and unless you are in Baseball America’s top 50 prospect list it’s going to be tough.

WashU’s average ACT is 33-34 so agree with the above poster that it will be a reach. Vandy is even more test score oriented so that’s a high reach.

All of the others, Colgate and above (except Case which was already a deferral), had bottom-25% Accepted Student ACT scores of 32 or higher last year;
Vandy 33-35
Wash U 32-35
Rice 32-35
Hamilton 32-34
Vassar 32-34
Colgate 32-34
Carleton 32-34
And scores may go up for the Class of 2022 at some of the above.

Wash U hasn’t yet posted their 2017-2018 CDS, but last year it was 32-34 for Attending Students - like many schools, the Accepted Student scores are typically higher as students may also have been accepted elsewhere.

And agree that acceptances in hand are both good schools, so hang in there!

Your ACT is slightly low for some of your top schools, but if you could be recruited as an athlete your chances would go up significantly.
