O in case this makes a difference: Major: Computer Engineering/Comp Sci

Living in NC doesn’t really give you an advantage for Duke. However, your stats look pretty good, although EC’s could be considered a little iffy.

Your stats look great!! Good gpa, sat scores, and ap exam scores but I agree with etuck24 that the extra circulars seem a little off, but since you have such good stats, you can slack off a bit on the ec’s! Good luck with the whole application process!

I should probably expand on my EC point - Aside from your Key Club involvement, there’s not much to show. The Duke Math Meet, correct me if I’m wrong as I just looked it up now, seems like something you just sign up for and go do, and isn’t much more than a day camp. Your 1 year of Wrestling can be made better if you do it senior year assuming you enjoy it, but would have been much more beneficial if you had 3 or 4 years of it, showing a commitment. While I don’t know what Young Democrats really is/does, unless you really DO something in it and take a leadership position, it just kind of blends in.

TLDR, there’s nothing that really stands out. And there’s no awards listed, unless you just forgot them. Simply being a member of things doesn’t give you much leverage at schools like Duke who actually put some stock into EC’s

Yea i thought my EC’s looked a little weak too. I should probably look under that big EC thread on the forum to improve. Thanks

Duke: Reach
Berkeley: Match (can you pay full-freight?)
UNC: Low match/Match
Cornell: Reach
UIUC: Low match/Match
