Hi cgar514! I'll chance you ... but can you chance me too? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html</a>

Your GPA UW 3.88 is very good. Good job! Your SAT I is also very good; please don't retake those SAT Subjects!!! A 700 on USH doesn't mean that the admission officer at MIT will go ... "What?? A 700! This kid's a failure ... that means I'll have to REJECT him ... muahahahaha there goes his $100 application fee!" .... That won't happen in real life ... in our nerdy nightmares ... maybe. Anywho ... you have taken advantage of what your school offers by taking 9 AP classes in total ... good ... just watch out that you do have 2 AP classes your senior year, which is fewer in number than your junior year ... it may show that you're going for the easy route for the last year ... see if you can change your schedule around to deal with that. Your ECs are very good, and those honors and awards are highly impressive. It's very difficult to score a 9 on the AIME ... let alone pass the AMC 12 (I missed the passing mark by one question b/c I was stupid enough to not notice that they were asking for reciprocals on Question #2 ... let me see The reciprocal of 1/2 + 2/3 is 7/6!!!! God, I'm such an idiot) Anywho, colleges will know about your awesome AIME score, which does put you up with one of the highest-performing math nerds in the US, and that will impress admission officers alot more than an 800 on the Math Level 2 test. It definitely will rise eye-brows.

Overall, you're a good student, with a very sharp talent in math. Btw can you PM me about how you're so good on the AMC tests? I want to qualify and do well on the AIME next year .... thanks!

Chances:
MIT/Caltech: Slight reach (Nat'l honors in both science and math should help but your GPA and SAT I score is definitely not the most elite ... but it's okay)
Stanford: Slight reach to Reach ... it's a top Ivy, but your nat'l honors in science and math will also help.
Cornell: Safety match (Those honors should push you over the top)
UC Berkeley: In for IOS, but OOS will be a match

Good luck, and remember to chance me and PM me about the AMC/AIME!

bump, chances plz :)
