Chance for top LACs, ivies and other ultra-selective schools

Hi ! I’m a new member. Can someone chance me?

Bump

The GPA might be the thing getting you down…but everything else looks pretty great! Chance me back - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1627148-chances-at-northwestern-brandeis-brown-i-ll-chance-back.html#latest

GPA is good, but low for those high selection
I personally think with those SAT Scores, and all of your accomplishments, everything is low reach/match other than Harvard, Stanford, MIT
^those r all high reach for everyone tho

Your application is ■■■■…Not because ur GPA is low 3.75/4.0 is actually really good but the problem is that well YOU DONT TAKE NO AP OR IB CLASSES… like seriously dude ur trynna get into ivy leagues by taking regular courses? They will know your not college ready… I hope you do realize that one of the criteria’s of importance at the nation’s selective schools is rigor of secondary schools, they wanna see u take as much ap/ib classes as possible and wanna see u do well…so sorry to say but ur not getting into any top schools man…your scheduel is ■■■■ lol

Just to let you know I take all IB courses and my GPA is about a 3.3 but guess what I have a higher chance of getting in than you cause colleges know how hard AP/IB is…with the classes you take I can easily get a 4.0 ur a joker ur trying to opt out of high school the easy way being not college ready…ur gonna cry later on man

I think your GPA and class rank put you at a disadvantage. I understand that there’s grade inflation across America at some schools but still. Plus, you aren’t able to show course strength because you haven’t taken AP/IB. Your test scores are excellent, your ECs are good, and you may just be a little too humble on your LORs to make them a concern (but there’s not too much of a weight on those anyway.).

Sorry I didn’t know much about some of the schools. You have a good shot! Thanks for chancing me.

Thanks for chancing me guys.

@themasterOG - yeah obviously I haven’t quite fulfilled my academic potential or whatever and that will hurt but at the moment my frame of mind isnt quite as pessimistic.

High School kids telling you if you have a chance to get in a particular school is the blind leading the blind. Any HS kid that thinks that somebody who is not actually an adcom or at the minimun somebody that has gone through the process either as a student or parent…well is just plain silly and probably won’t get into their “elite” schools anyway.

Chance me, I am 55 yrs old, I want to have world peace…10 lbs overweight. Can I be Miss USA?

Got the point?

I know it’s silly. It’s exactly like a game. The point of a game is that it’s entertaining. Now I’m sure some kids think this chancing stuff actually means something and well I guess that’s unhealthy for them. But as long as one is aware of what this really is and enjoys participating in the game, it’s completely harmless.

And I think your weight and age are a little high but if you’re able to make a winning essay out of your want for world peace, you’ll have a solid app.

Miss USA: mid reach
Miss World: high reach
