I've had my interviews for Princeton, Dartmouth, Duke, and W&L. I think the Dartmouth and Princeton ones went really well, and the other two OK.

Schools I applied to:
Princeton (first choice, legacy)
Dartmouth (first/second choice)
Duke
Williams
UVa
Colgate
Washington and Lee

and a couple of safeties not worth mentioning

Thanks!

You should have no problem getting into most of your choices.

Princeton and Dartmouth can be a problem (Princeton is not easy for anybody). Okay, you're awesome, but I don't see anything special or spectacular. I'd say you have a decent shot, but I don't really know.

Good luck.

probz in @ princeton!

Bump10char

Thanks to the people who posted.

Bumpppp

One...final...BUMP

In at Dartmouth, decent (50/50?) chances at Princeton

Thanks hoonose, but why do you think I have a better shot at Dartmouth than Princeton? My parents went to Princeton, I always assumed that would count for something (not that it should).

Oh, you didn't tell us that before. :)

Statistically, it is harder to get into Princeton than Dartmouth. That's all we're saying. However, if your parents were Princeton alumni, that does slightly raise your chances. It does count for something. It's something they consider.

Legacy counts, esp. if they gave big bucks.....

i love legacy!

Hah I don't quite know what to say to the guy who said "I love legacy," but I can assure you that my parents aren't big donors. They've given a couple thousand dollars I think, but nothing substantial. Oh and I'm sorry if it was hard to see the "legacy" next to Princeton, I really should have put it before "first choice." Thanks to everyone who's posted so far. Also, does anyone have the numbers for legacy students? I'd like to see how they stack up to get a better feel for what to expect on April 1st.

I read somewhere that the acceptance rate for legacy applicants is around 35-40% at Princeton.

Don't have the source though...

Really? Only 35-40? The way people talk about it I thought it would be much higher. Thanks for posting that though. Anyone else?
