currently am in 11th grade but I am nervous and I don’t know if I should really expect myself to get into Tulane, my top choice school.
I’ve emailed my areas admissions officer because I can’t make a visit but I want to show interest.
So far my cumulative weighted gpa is 4.20 and weighted 3.5 and I’m in ap Lang, ap bio, and apush this year. I took aphug and got a 4 on the exam in 9th grade. My extracurricular activity isn’t anything outstanding, but I did band 9-10th grade and this year I did color guard. Next year I will likely be the captain of the team. I currently volunteer at an animal shelter. My sat score is 1330, but I want to improve it this summer. On an act practice test, they estimated I will get a 30 on it but I will take that next week. I plan to take both tests again to improve, regardless of what I get. I’m from a smallish city in Florida (if that matters) and my grandma is from South Korea , which makes me partially Asian. (I don’t know if the previous 2 facts matter but I thought I should mention them). Also I’m like, poor , anyway so is probable that I could get into Tulane or is it foolish for me to try??? I don’t want to get my hopes up if it’s unreasonable to expect me to get in
@iamanxioushelp You have nothing to lose by applying to Tulane. That is the only way to get in. See how you do on the ACT. Focus on either the ACT or the SAT exam, there is no need to improve both scores, see which test feels better for you. Good for you for contacting your admissions officer, Tulane likes to see demonstrated interest. You are on you way… Good luck!
