Chance for U. Pittsburgh?

<p>here are my stats-
My school's average acceptance to WUSTL is around 40-50%~</p>

<p>School Type: Catholic Private school, starts at 8:00 AM, ends at 4:45 PM</p>

<p>GPA: 3.45 UW
I know this GPA is extremely low, but my school's courses is known for being extremely difficult, and my school is nationally recognized.</p>

<p>Courses: My school only allows Juniors and Seniors to take AP courses
4 years of English
3 years Honors Spanish
AP Calc AB, AP Statistics, AP European History, AP Computer Science, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B
2 years Honors Latin (gold & silver medalist on National Latin Exam)

Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology
Art History</p>

<p>ACT: 31 (35 Math, 33 English, 31 Reading, 25 Science :/)
32 Superscored
but I have been taking Barron's Practice Tests and managed to get averages of 32/33, and I am going to retake in September
SAT: 2000 (might retake) </p>

the TEAM+S is an engineering club and besides earning 10th in the nation last year, we also won state last year.

-Local Soup Kitchens
-Helped teach ESL to 50 Chinese exchange students
-Worked at a camp</p>

<p>Work:
I work at Kumon, tutoring other kids every Saturday</p>

<p>And have 3 college credit hours for Saint Louis University</p>

<p>I also got invited to a Computer Science/Programming conference in UC Berkeley</p>

<p>I think your chances are pretty good if you can compose good enough essays.</p>

<p>We were at U Pitt this summer and they encouraged my S to apply right then and there. Sent scores (ACT 30) and grades (3.9 weighted) and got the acceptance before senior year even started. No essay, no recommendations. He plans to send to see if these will help with merit aid, along with ACT retake, but overall Pitt seems to rely heavily on grades & scores, and yours are plenty good.</p>
