@IBstudent10001 nope arts and sciences
Then its not that competitive, and Physics usually does not get that many applicants. So then there’s that.
@IBstudent10001 i wouldnt say that, berkeley physics is ranked either one or two
Good chance… I think you should get in, but these things are pretty unpredictable. Best of luck!
@ShowMeState700 In that case I would say 70% chance. California is very selective with OOS applicants and they take majority of in state kids. You’re a great candidate however, you’ll just have to wait it out
@healthandmusic a 70 percent chance? dang. hahah thats good enough for me
Bump
You have a shot at both of them but it’ll be easier for you to get into UCLA.
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18213672#Comment_18213672
It’s gonna be tough. Can you afford the UC’s? There is limited financial aid for OOS students.
Your GPA won’t get you any merit aid, so $55K, per 4 years, it is. Residency status doesn’t change your entry status. I think your GPA will hurt your competition with other OOS students.
@auntbea not terribly i dont think
Definitely good stats, feel comfortable
Match
thanks!
got into ucsb as well
UCLA admits 30 % OOS and 17% In-state.
@meriks thank god
bump
I’d say they are both high mathes/ low reaches. For me the concerning things are the lower grades in Physics and Calculus, though you want to be a physics major.
alright
60% to 80% chances for Berkeley
75% to 90% chances for UCLA
