You’re an all-round winner, but there is nothing too remarkable to make you stand out above the rest of the applicants of some of these schools. It all depends on your essays. If they are good, you have a clean shot at all of those colleges.

The UCs have been more accommodating to OCCs lately, so your chances may be better than what I’m suggesting. Some 40% of UCLA students come from out of state or are int’l.

Stanford - Reach
UCB - Low Reach
UCLA - High Match
USC - Match
UCI - Low Match
UCSD - Match
UCD - Low Match
Oregon - Safety

my school doesnt post class ranks, but I am surely top 5% of class 1000+ students! huge school!

Bubbles, do colleges look at your interest and prestige in the major you are applying for?

My advice is that aside from Engineering, choose the major after applying if you are not sure what you want to do.

I am definatley going to be a biology major. What i am asking is: will my history in biology(all A’s, 800 on SAT II) help me get into these colleges?

Stanford- Reach
UCB- Low Reach
UCLA- Low Reach
USC- Match
UCI - Safety
UCSD - Low Match
UCD - Safety
Oregon - Safety

I’ve never done a chance before, but I have to say: If you make sure to write your essays over how much them b*****s “Love Sosa,” I don’t see how you AREN’T accepted everywhere!

For real though, I think you are incredibly well-rounded and with great scores. Just out of curiosity, to relate your GPA to your classmates, what is your rank? I think the internship can be real useful in your admission as well.

Keep it 3hunna

hahaha thanks. bump

I think you have a great chance at all of them! Stanford is a reach, but you’d be a competitive applicant, especially by emphasizing your love for biology. I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into the other schools on your list.
Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1420158-chance-me-stanford-duke-penn-ed-etc-ill-chance-back.html

My predictions ;)

Stanford: Reach
UCB: Likely Accepted
UCLA: Accepted
USC: Accepted
UCI: Not sure
UCSD: Accepted
UCD: Not sure
Oregon: Accepted

Cheifsosa can you answer this question please? I was wondering how you got such a high weighted gpa of 4.83! Was that Junior Year or your entire High School Cumulative Gpa? And if so can you explain what your gpa’s were each year? Thanks

I think you have a good shot at all of the schools on your list. Stanford is a reach, but that’s only because it is a reach school for all applicants. I’d be surprised if you were rejected from the UCs or USC.
