Chance for UNC Chapel Hill

Hey there, I am currently a junior and my first choice for college is UNC Chapel Hill. I have fell in love with the college ever since moving to NC and hope to get accepted. However I have seen many students on this forum who have outstanding stats and I feel that I don't stand out. I also know that i am only a junior and still have some time but I want to know if I'm on the right track, So, without further ado, please chance this anxious young student.

Female
Asian Indian
INSTATE (please disregard my username, I am simply from CA but I currently live in NC)

Class Rank: top 5%
GPA: 4.68 (all A's in high school honors/ap classes so far)
SAT: 1640 unprepared (really bad, but I only took it as a sophomore once and I have been taking practice tests and been making 1800+ and am taking the actual SAT two more times)

AP Classes (by end of high school): 9 by the time I graduate and a 3 on the ap world history exam(my first one)

Sport:
-Varsity Tennis (3 years)

Clubs:
-Beta Club (10,11,(12))
-Key Club (treasurer-11) (member: 9,10,11,(12))
-International Club (secretary-11) (member: 11,(12))
-HOSA (member 10,11,(12)) (doing competition in 11th and (12th))

Awards/Honors:
-Award for highest grade average for AP World History
-A Honor Roll
-Spanish Honor Society (I have/am going to take Spanish all four years- I heard UNC likes that)
-Natural Science Academy (basically you have to take 7 or more honors/ap science classes- a big honor at my school)

-Academy of Scholars

-volunteered at a deaf/mute school and hospital for two weeks while on a trip to India
-this summer, I am volunteering at the local hospital as I want to become a doctor

That's it! Please feel free to offer any advice and if anyone has any ideas on what I could do THIS summer would be very helpful. Please please please chance me for UNC!!

UNC-CH: Reach (aim for 31+/2100+)

As you are in state you do not need a 2100 SAT or 31 ACT. Those scores are well above the 50th percentile for UNC which itself is skewed by the higher out of state numbers.

I was aiming for at least a 1900+ and I’ve been doing really well on the practice tests

But a 31+/2100+ would then make UNC-CH a low match…

YOUR DOING SOOO GOOD!!! I too am instate and dreaming of going to UNC Chapel Hill, only difference, im a sophmore. Since youve gotten all As so far, clubs are amazing, and you have a bunch of honors, i’d say you have a 85% chance of getting in. Just make an official 1900 or higher on the SAT and you should be set. Averge in 2012 for people that got accepted into unc was about 1750 or 1800.
