AP Government
Anatomy + Physiology (honors)
AP Art History
AP Calculus BC
English (non-honors)
(Only took honors or AP classes from the 9th grade; (took 2 non-honor classes, just for Spanish lol. And senior year English because that is all my school offers)

Program:
I’m in a science and math program called Carl Sagan. It’s the best program my school has to offer. We do research on plants, write research papers, present at science fairs etc. (Applied to the New York Science and Engineering Fair: one of the 200 accepted out of 1000 applicants. Did not go pass the preliminary rounds. If I went to the round after the preliminaries, I would have met Obama lol)

Honor Societies:
National Honor Society 2 years

Recommendations:
1) AP Biology teacher (got a 5 on the test, 88 in the class) I am very close to him, He is also a supervisor in Carl Sagan (the math/science program I am in) where we bonded a lot. We are basically have a friend relationship, student/teacher relationship only during class.
2) The Assistant Principal of Math. She was my teacher for Trigonometry during my sophomore year. She will write only good things about me

I guess my major weakness is my UNWEIGHTED GPA : (
Also would will my Extracurricular load hurt me?

What are my chances for: (ALL RD)
DREAMS:
UPenn - Wharton (#1 choice <3)
Dartmouth - Tuck
Cornell - Johnathan
UMich - Ross
NYU - Stern

Match/Safties:
PSU
Northeastern
Boston U
Binghamton
(CAN YOU ALSO HELP ME WITH OTHER SCHOOLS TO APPLY FOR SAFTIES/MATCH)

I WILL CHANCE BACK :)

bumpppppppp

Penn, Dartmouth, and Cornell are all going to be reaches (they are for most people)
NYU Stern and Mich - Ross should be high matches.

I agree. Michigan and NYU are probably high to mid matches. You dont have a great shot at Wharton, but still a shot. Since your applying to business you need to show strong math skills… I would say for Wharton no lower than a 730 on the sat 2s. Good luck :)

Will my gpa bring my chances down? :/

GPA doesn’t matter. What classes and how well you did. You might get into Dartmouth, but your safeties are fine.

What dasdui said is only partially correct because what classes you took (the most difficult schedule your school offers) is what most students applying to the top tier schools took.

So, in that sense, GPA matters.

you can’t major in business at Tuck. Tuck is a graduate school. They do offer several undergraduate classes but it’s not like Wharton

I have a couple of question. Please give me your feedback! THANKS!

 1. I’m currently in my senior year, and I’m not doing well (ATM, a 70 average) in AP Calculus BC, which I think is the hardest course my school offers.

2) Are Honor classes really considered rigorous courses? I think they are pretty easy.

3) This is irrelevant to chances but I had a question, can I take the ACT in december? and will the scores be ready by january 1st?

As posted up above, my gpa is not great, but the following is a list of my classes from 8th grade (the high school classes I took) to my senior year.

please respond!

please enlighten me!

Your unweighted GPA is a little low, but fine for the Ivys! I think you have a chance at UPenn, but I would apply early because it really does show them it’s your top choice! Good luck!

thank you, any other feeeeeeeedback?

Apply to MORE SAFETY schools. UPenn, Cornell, and Duke seem a reach based on your academic scores.

UMich seems like it will take you.

I also have two older sisters in med school but Im trying to get into University of Florida… still kinda hard with a 38% acceptance now

What other saftey schools should i apply too?
