I am a pretty good essay writer

Personally, Harvard is impossible. UPenn and Columbia are semi-reaches. The rest are all matches, including Georgetown. However, the fact that you are a good essay writer might change my predictions.

Sorry, but not having a 4.0 and being asian is going to hurt you. Also, no 800 SAT IIs and a slightly low SAT for Harvard.

Chance me!

I beg to differ with Eurasionboy. We sent our valedictorian to Harvard last year and he scored a 660 on an SAT II. Goes to show that they do value more than the objective.

The whole GPA thing- that should be explained to your schools by someone. From here, it sounds very confusing :)

You have very strong SAT scores, good grades and ECs plus being a first generation… you have a great shot. Chancing you at the schools I know,

Harvard- Reach (it is for everyone, regardless)
Columbia and UPenn- Semi Reach
Georgetown- Match
William and Mary- Match

Good Luck!

i wouldnt say your ec’s are out of this world, especially by harvard-ish, ivy league type schools…but your grades are solid enough, and if you write some good essays like you say can…theres always a shot.
harvard=really high reach. i hate to be negative but its just so ridiculous and seemingly random. probably worth applying though just in case…weird things can happen.
columbia=high reach
penn/georgetown=mid reaches. definitely more reasonable, and you have a solid shot. but they’re still ivy and near-ivy level, so its hard to be confident.
UVA/W&M/George Masion=I think you have a really good shot at any of these schools…especially if you can show your enthusiasm for wanting to go there, because that does matter quite a bit.
Chances pleasee
