Chance for UPenn

<p>After much consideration and research I have found that the University of Pennsylvania is my first choice school. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out my chances for acceptance. Alright so here goes:</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA 3.6 ( don't know what my weighted is)
Class Rank: Top 5%, 20/389

<p>Essays:
I believe they show personal qualities rather then just words on a document. I expressed that I have a tremendous interest in the school and answered the prompt with supporting details.
Personal Essay: I think it shows me for who others see me and how I see me, as a leader. Also how ambitios I am and passionate about my studies.</p>

Awards: *recognition
Recognition at a Science Symposium for professor guided research with Penn State using a fruit fly as a cancer model under oxidative stress.
Volunteering: 200+ hours at a local community farm, tutoring local youth 100+</p>

<p>I play multiple instruments: ukulele, clarinet, tenor sax, alto sax, guitar, cello, flute, anything in the clarinet family. </p>

<p>My intended major would be Biology with a concentration in neurobiology to become a pediatric neurologist.</p>

<p>And I’m in the Spanish Honor Society. And speak fluent spanish and german. Sorry for so much editing. It’s late.</p>

<p>I hate to be a downer but you have a very slim chance of getting in.</p>

<p>Yea, your GPA is just really low and that ACT score is ridiculously low for upenn. You would need at least a 3.8 uw GPA and AT LEAST a 32 ACT. Just focus on writing SUPERB essays and you might have a chance. Don’t feel disappointed; when there’s a will, there’s a way:)</p>
