Hello, I would like your opinions on my chances toward USC, UCI, UCD, and UCSB.

Ethnicity: Asian
GPA: 3.72
SAT: 1700... its low :(

Doing the full IB Diploma

I personally think that my chances to these schools are low. But, can you still chance me? Thank you.

Based purely on academics, you’re not looking so great - I would work on that SAT score. Can you list your ECs?

If you are a Cali resident, this is important:

“If you’re in the top 9 percent of California high school graduates and aren’t admitted to any of the UC campuses you apply to, you’ll be offered a spot at another campus if space is available. We use a formula — called an admissions index —to determine if you fall in that group.”

[University of California - Statewide path](http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/california-residents/admissions-index/index.html)

It matters a lot what the breakdown of your score is. Under some scenarios 1700 + 3.72 GPA does not qualify, but with other breakdowns it does. Also add a point for every semester of every HL course you’ve taken, plus a point for every semester of a qualifying SL. You can check whether your SLs qualify with this form:

Your guidance counselors at school - even if they are complete idiots in all other respects - should be pretty familiar with UC and CSU admissions (again, assuming you are in Cali). Ask them for help.

USC, I know less about.

Unfortunately, I’m an international student.

Break down of my SAT score:
Reading: 510
Writing: 510
Math: 680

Thanks
