To anyone reading this, can you guys please chance me for UT Austin (McCombs school of business, CNS, and undergraduate studies)

any advice or chances would be greatly appreciated.

If you are from Texas, the only guaranteed way you can get into UT is by being in top 9% of your class.

If your school does nt rank and it is private, your counselor may be your best guide in determining if you can get in based on prior admits from your school. You are competing for an open seat and the selection process is fuzzy for those seats although your SAT score will go a long way.

Does your school a tool like Naviance where you can compare yourself to prior years’ admits?

your SAT scores are in the average range, so you have an okay chance of getting in. however, your GPA is pretty weak, and UT cares a lot about GPA. you have good extracurriculars. I would say that you might get into UT if you apply to a college that is not considered difficult to get into (so not business or communications)

bump, with the new admissions review (holistic review for all applicants to the business and engineering schools) how do i fare? all advice is appreciated!

UT does not look at your GPA, only class rank.

The upwards trajectory would look good to any top college. It is true that UT Austin accepts most people based on rank BUT there are some students from my school that have been accepted based on their abundance of ECs (you have tennis). Just to be sure to get in, I would apply to UT Dallas. So that if you get in to UTD, but get “capped” at UT Austin, you can transfer later. I know a lot of kids who do capping from my school. Hope this helps!

Hey guys, I’ve finished my application and I decided to apply to the college of natural sciences (biology) and liberal arts (economics). My stats are as listed above but I was wrong in my estimated rank (since I go to a non-ranking private school.) I am estimated to be in the 2nd quarter. I sent in all 3 essays and 2 letters of rec. Could anyone realistically give me my chances of getting in please?
