I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted, 105.9 weighted
I’m ranked 14th, top 2% in my class
I’ve taken 13 AP classes, 4 or 5s on all 13 tests
I have more than 3 pages of varied extracurriculars and experience on my expanded resume.
The one thing that concerns me is my SAT score. The highest I’ve gotten is a 1440, 740 on reading and 700 on math.
I haven’t taken the ACT or any SAT Subject tests
Considering how SAT scores are very influential in the admissions process and it is one of the first things they consider whether an applicant qualifies or not,
How are my chances for getting into UT natural science honors, specifically the Health Science program?
The average SAT score for the school is 1350, while the average for CNS is slightly above that (like 1380) So don’t think that your SAT is low.
Youre in. I forgot my calculator during my SAT exam and still got in. SAT scores matter, sure, but its not the only thing they focus on.
Not saying its not competitive, but also with your qualifications it should not be too hard. Are you applying from out of state? Because I think thats more competitive, I dont know.
Alright thank you for your replies. I’m applying from in state.
By the way, if I submitted two recommendation letters not knowing they only asked for one, does anyone know which one they use (first one submitted/best one/other) or if they consider both?
